Mpeketoni Boys High School has a reputation for academic excellence. The mission of the languages Department is to support students linguistically as they become citizens of the global community.

The languages department consists of two subjects i.e English and Kiswahili. It is through these subjects that we are focused to produce men that will live lives shaped by the power and beauty of the imaginative uses of the languages. This is done through drama and music festive, which is a product of the oral literature they are taught in class. The debate and journalism club also gives the students a forum to utilize their talents and languages skills.

In the school, students are expected to apply themselves to a rigorous programme of study, intended to challenge them to achieve their full potential and strive for excellence. We allow students to craft a cohere program with a focus on writing through their weekly writing sessions. They also participate in peer-teaching and group discussion which enhances the classroom teaching.

All the vision we have in the department cannot be achieved without the input of the technocrats and gurus in the respective subjects they include:-
